Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about electrolysis? We’ve put together answers to the most common questions we get! Learn how this FDA-approved hair removal method works, what to expect, and how to care for your skin. We also cover pricing, policies, and more. If you don’t see your question here, just ask us at your consultation—we’re happy to help!

What is electrolysis?

Electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method for permanent hair removal. It works by using a fine probe to deliver a small amount of electrical current to the hair follicle, destroying its ability to regrow.

2

How does electrolysis compare to laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal reduces hair growth but does not permanently remove all hair. Electrolysis, however, destroys the hair follicle completely, making it the only truly permanent solution for all hair types and skin tones.

3

Is electrolysis safe?

Yes! Electrolysis has been safely performed for over 100 years. When done by a licensed professional, it is highly effective and safe for all skin types and hair colors.

4

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on the area being treated, hair growth cycles, and individual hair density. Because hair grows in different phases, multiple treatments are needed for permanent results. We’ll create a personalized treatment plan during your consultation.

5

How long does each session take?

Sessions can range from 5 minutes to over an hour, depending on the area being treated and your hair removal goals.

6

How much does electrolysis cost?

Pricing depends on the treatment area and session length. Please check our Pricing page or contact us for details.

7

Does electrolysis hurt?

Most clients describe the sensation as a quick, mild sting or warmth. Sensitivity varies, but we can adjust the settings to ensure your comfort. Some areas may feel more sensitive than others.

8

Can electrolysis be performed on all body areas?

Yes! Electrolysis can safely treat most areas, including the face, eyebrows, underarms, bikini area, legs, and more.

9

Is electrolysis effective for hormonal hair growth?

Yes! Electrolysis is a great solution for unwanted hair caused by hormonal changes, PCOS, or menopause.

10

Can I do electrolysis if I have sensitive skin?

Absolutely! Electrolysis is safe for all skin types, and we can customize the treatment settings for your comfort.

11

Is there downtime after electrolysis?

There is no significant downtime—most clients return to normal activities immediately. Mild redness is common but fades quickly.

Confidence is feeling beautiful in your own skin—permanently.
